They did made a lot of small bugfixes. But since i bought the game in pre-order, i wanted to do it anyway. Also waited too long, not to play it when it is there.I was positively suprised, but that can be due to so many bad things i have been reading. But then again, i also read what the developers write, and what there plans are for the next days, weeks and months. When they do everything they are saying, this really can be a great Tennis game. Allthough i think that we can expected more from Grafics these days, but the game has a lot of potential.I like the Base that stand now for the game, but the game isn't ready and fully playable without a lot of annoying moments. The first hour, i think, would not be the big problem, and you will be probably be glad that there is a Tennis game again to play. After a while allthough... it will take the nerve.I think that is would be best to wait any longer, and the developers did not want to do that, because of the release date that already was cancelled ones before. They also do say that it was not that good of a release they have made, but lets give them a chance.But... my Fair advice would be, not to bay the game yet. It is not ready. the reasons why can be found all over the pages here. I will definitly change my review once things are better. And i think this day will come, because with every patch it is being a bit better sofar.. I haven't written a review before, simply because I never saw the point of writing one. However, I will make an exception now.I have kept silent about this game, I tried it after every patch, hoping it will get better. And it did, albeit barely. When I heard about the Roland-Garros expansion, I was looking forward to it. However, after putting hours into this game, experiencing a variety of bugs, such as not being able to change my character's First Name in the creation menu, to players returning balls that they were nowhere near, or my all-time "favorite" bug, when you hit strike key only for that player to not react, I decided that enough is enough. This Roland-Garros expansion is the final straw. Instead of offering it to the players for their support and as a thank you, they decided to slap a price tag on it and make more money. Greed knows no end, just like the publisher Bigben Interactive knows no shame. On top of everything, PS4 players got Nadal free, while users on PC need to pay 7 euros for a reskin that looks like him, but is devoid of the grunts or actual strike motions of the real deal.After this expansion, I would recommend to stay away from this game, don't touch it even with a 10 feet pole, unless you want to encourage shady practices, scumbag publishers, and greedy CEO's who know nothing more than to charge you for anything they can while they throw the developers under the bus.I want to thank Breakpoint for making a tennis game on PC, I was so eager for it I was anxiously counting the days until it release. Even if the player not hitting the ball bug is still present sometimes, the game is much better than when I bought it, almost a year ago.And to Bigben Interactive, the countless disappointment, anger and frustration that you have given me has made me not only pirate absolutely any game that you make, even if I don't play it, it'd just own it, to spite you, but also it's my absolute pleasure to wish you a rocky road to hell, and if your company ever ceases to exist, then the world will be a better place. This is a flawed but highly anticipated game for an audience that has been ignored for too long, the one looking for a tennis game focusing on realism and building a career. It is still a flawed product that was rushed out before it was ready and can be highly frustrating at times, like your character ceasing an animation mid stride.This game is best enjoyed with tempered expectations and a patient approach. I played a career mode with a female player and did not win a single match until midway through my second year. Even now in year 3 I am just able to have a competitive match in a two-star tournament and my lady is now able to move as I wish (most of the time), probably due to leveling up and the frustration is starting to subside as I learn how my character behaves and works. You are supposed to play exchibition matches and build a rapport with how your character moves before taking on tournaments and take a patient approach. If you wish fast paced, flashy gameplay and the ability to win Grand Slams and earn #1 in a short time this game is not for you.It seems meant for the simulation crowd that seek immersion in a career mode. It is also encouraging that the developers seem passionate about improving the product over time and not simply cutting their losses at first sign of controversy. All this without resorting to things like "live-service" or microtransactions. They could very well have ceased work on post-launch content or locked away outfits, equipment or tournaments behind pay walls. That they haven´t is enough for me to give them my money to encourage more work into this game and hopefully a future for the genre (simulation, single player).I view this game like a Kingdom Come: Deliverance of the sports genre. A bold effort from a group of people passionate about their product in an era of copy and paste products, quich cash grabs and "live service". If you wish to wait for them to keep showing effort before giving them money that is your right but for me, I want to encourage this business practice despite it feeling rushed and inexperienced as a product for sale..
